ICI Bucharest participated in the "Geospace World 2026" conference
ICI Bucharest participated in the "Geospace World" conference, organised by Geospace World in Brașov, between June 17 and 19, 2026, to mark the 22nd edition of the event.
The Romanian HPC National Competence Center - RONCC, within the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, organised on September 27-28, 2023, the event "HPC and AI Technologies: Accelerating Innovation through Collaboration", which took place in Bucharest.
Over the two days, more than 100 people interested by High Performance Computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI), who actively participated in the presentations held by 22 speakers from 7 countries (Austria, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Montenegro, The Netherlands and Romania)
The event aimed to develop the HPC ecosystem in Romania by presenting some successful HPC applications and discussing emerging trends, current and future challenges, as well as opportunities related to these new technologies. Also, on the first day of the event, the "Introduction to Supercomputers" training took place, where the main topics were supercomputer architecture, efficient use of resources and ways to optimize performance.
This event addresses the private environment (industry, SMEs, start-ups) and the public environment (universities, public administration, research and development institutes, etc.). It represents an opportunity to explore the issue of HPC, an opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange. Together, we contribute to technological advances and open new horizons in High-Performance Computing.

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest was present at the Iași Urban Mobility Summit 2026, which took place June 18-19, 2026, organised by the ARSC - Romanian Association for Smart City and supported by the national platform ROPAT.ro.
