ICI Bucharest was represented by Adrian-Victor Vevera, the institute's general director, at the event "TELECOM. Continuous Innovation and Evolution," organized by FinMedia and Piața Financiara magazine. The event took place today, May 30, 2024, and brought together numerous experts and leaders from the telecommunications industry.
The event was dedicated to exploring the dynamics and continuous expansion of the telecom sector in Romania, being structured in a series of interactive debates and informative sessions. Within them, Adrian-Victor Vevera contributed valuable perspectives on innovation and technological evolution in the field of telecommunications: "Within ICI Bucharest, the Department of Communication, Digital Applications and Systems, responsible for testing 5G networks, demonstrated that these networks allowed the transfer of data at much higher speeds, which leads to an increased volume of data transmitted in a much shorter time. Other departments that use 5G technology and can participate in national and international projects in this field are the Department of Digital Transformation and Governance and the Department of Software and Complex Systems Engineering. This advanced technology is essential to transmitting big data, contributing to progress and efficiency in critical sectors such as health and transportation. The use of 5G in these areas brings speed and capacity to transmit data and new opportunities for innovation and development, thus supporting economic growth and creating quality of life."
Among the main topics discussed were the analysis of the performance of the telecom sector at the end of 2023, the significant trends and challenges in 2024, the impact of legislative changes on the telecom market, the status and obstacles in the implementation of 5G technology in Romania, technological development and network security, the role of tower operators in accelerating market development, innovative applications and success stories in the use of new technologies, including AI in 5G.
Attendees benefit from interactive discussions and presentations from renowned speakers. The entire event will be reflected in an extensive dedicated material in the June 2024 issue of "Financial Market" magazine.
