During May 18-19, 2023, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest is participating in the third edition of the INNOCONSTRUCT International Conference, which focuses on new approaches to developing digital skills in construction and technologies and solutions that support digitalization, energy efficiency.
The first day of the conference focused on the presentation of smart technologies and solutions, representative case studies on the digitalization of the industry, and trends in the sector. And the second day is dedicated to round table debates on digitalization, classification system, circular economy, and the future of professions, combined with the practical part, where a Hackathon and a Match-Making event will take place in parallel.
"The adoption of BIM (Building Information Modeling) is revolutionizing the construction field by creating digital representations of the entire life cycle of buildings, enabling collaborative workflows, project creation and coordination, and communication between stakeholders. Moreover, integrating blockchain technologies and smart contracts in this field can increase transparency and trust, reducing disputes that may arise. Embracing these technologies can transform the construction industry, paving the way for a more digital and collaborative future." said Adrian-Victor Vevera, general director of ICI Bucharest.
The INNOCONSTRUCT conference brings together large and small companies from various sub-sectors of the construction industry, technology companies, universities from various countries, representatives of the European Commission, government and local authorities, relevant NGOs and social partners, and construction clusters from different countries. Member States and representatives of bodies and networks of expertise to ensure that all stakeholders contribute to the dialogue.
