“Unrestricted access to digital cultural information” - SLOVE 2014

The event, now in its fifth year, was held on July 17th and 18th, 2014, and drew a large number of individuals from the cultural sector, university education, important persons from scientific life, and local officials.

This year's theme was "Open access to digital cultural information," and it included the launch of three volumes of books, as well as visits to the Malu Private Library and the most important historical sites from Câmpulung Muscel, in addition to the thematic papers held in plenary or parallel sections.

Mrs. Prof. Dr. Eng. Doina Banciu - General Director of the National Institute for Research - Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest received the Diploma of Excellence from Romania's National Association of Librarians and Public Libraries for her outstanding contribution to the organization and promotion of the national cultural event.

ICI Bucharest Presented the Opportunities Offered by AI Factories at AI4IMPACT Week 2026

Access to high-performance computing resources and technical expertise are among the challenges faced by organisations developing or using artificial intelligence solutions. Through its participation in the European BSC AI Factory project, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest helps facilitate access to supercomputing infrastructure and specialised services for startups, SMEs and research organisations.

ICI Bucharest and AAI Organised a Training Course on AI Governance and Cybersecurity

ICI Bucharest and the Independent Directors Association (AAI) organised the training course “Governance Leadership: AI & Cybersecurity for Board Members” on 16–17 October 2026. The course was designed for board members and executives and focused on how artificial intelligence and cybersecurity shape strategic decision-making, risk management, and technology investments.
