Scientific Recognition

2011-2020

• “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău conferred the title of “Doctor Honoris Causa” to Mrs. Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Doina Banciu, the General Director of National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics, I.C.I. Bucharest, on 26th of May 2011. Among other guests from the country and abroad, a group of renowned researchers from I.C.I. Bucharest participated at the event: Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Adriana Alexandru. Ph.D. Eng. Theodor Dan Popescu, Ph.D. Eng. Vasile Sima. Mr. Ionuţ Gogu, advisor to the Minister of Communication and Information Society, was also present. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its foundation, “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău awarded the “Testimonium Laboris” prize and the anniversary medal to Mrs. Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Doina Banciu.
• The “Business Champions Gala in Romania 2012” was held on the 17th of December 2012. The event took place at the Romanian Banking Institute from Bucharest, with the distinguished participation of Their Excellencies Mr. Michael Schwarzinger, Austrian Ambassador; Mrs. Kalliopi Avraam, Ambassador of Cyprus; Mrs. Ecaterina Andronescu, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, as well as numerous notable figures from politics, diplomatic and business environment, research and education. As part of the European Commission's initiative – DG Enterprise – “European SME Week” during the launch reunion of “Danube Region Stakeholders Club from Romania”, the jury awarded the “Romanian Business Champion” trophy to the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – I.C.I. Bucharest for its special performance in 2012.
• The Gala Awards of Excellence Mobile Communic@tions was held on the evening of 5th of December 2012. In the “Scientific Book” section, the jury granted the Best Book 2012 award for "Internet şi domeniile .ro" (Internet
  and .ro domains) book, coordinated by Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Doina Banciu and co-edited by the General Association of Engineers of Romania and the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics, I.C.I. Bucharest.
• “Best EuRopean Gov. Cloud Project” diploma for winning the “Infrastructure Cloud for Public Institutions in Romania ICIPRO” project – 10th of December 2013.

2006-2010

• ICI participated at the “Research Salon” from 3rd to 7th October 2006 (where it presented software products developed under the programmes RELANSIN and AMTRANS) and at BINARY 2006 where the Diploma of Excellence was granted to the ARSONET product, in the “Innovation in Enhancing the Cultural Heritage” section. Both exhibition events took place within the XXXII edition of TIB – Târgul Tehnic Internaţional Bucureşti (International Technical Fair Bucharest) – 2006
• Diploma of Excellence granted to Mr. Pribeanu Costin by the Ministry of Education and Research for taking part in the Sixth Framework Programme of the European Community for research and technological development including demonstration activities and in the Sixth Framework Programme of the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) - PC6. – 2006

• Following the evaluation of Research and Development enterprises made by the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ICI ranked I in the Medium Enterprises category in 2006 Top Research and Development and High-Tech Companies of Bucharest and was granted the diploma and the plaque at the event organized at ROMEXPO by the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the National Authority for Scientific Research. 2nd of October 2007

• The 28th edition of TIB - Bucharest International Technical Fair was held at ROMEXPO exhibition complex, between 7th – 12th of October 2002, where the share of the Romanian companies was 63%. ICI – Bucharest attended the event with a rich offer of software products, in the 13th Pavilion of the Ministry of Education and Research Stand, together with other research institutes, at “2002 Conceived in Romania” exposition.

• The book “Models, Test Problems and Applications for Mathematical Programming” written by Neculai ANDREI, published at Technical Press Publishing House, Bucharest, 2003, received the 2003 Computer Science Award, granted by AER – the Romanian Publishers Association, at the “Bookarest” International Book Fair - 2003 edition
