On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, starting at 1:30 p.m., ICI Bucharest and Agerpres, in partnership with the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization (MCID), will launch the second stage of the "AI Application - Agerpres News" project, marking the transition from the national to the regional flow. In this stage, the project involves partnerships with the counties of Bistrița-Năsăud, Dâmbovița, and Prahova, expanding the use of artificial intelligence to ensure quality journalism that is adapted to the needs of the local audience.
The launch event, which will take place at the MCID headquarters, will highlight the importance of integrating emerging technologies into the regional media space. The application continues to use artificial intelligence to analyze, synthesize and distribute validated information, providing essential solutions in filtering disinformation content and strengthening public trust in journalism.
Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, said: "The transition to the regional feed represents a significant step in our mission to support local and regional press. By integrating AI technology, we offer all journalists a tool that not only validates information, but also facilitates its dissemination to a diverse, increasingly demanding audience, including digital natives."
Claudia-Victoria Nicolae, General Director of Agerpres, added: "The application is not just a working tool, but a bridge between traditional and modern journalism, using technology to meet the needs of today's audience. The regionalization of the feed helps us better address the local audience, respecting the specifics of each community."
ICI Bucharest and Agerpres launch a call for all media institutions and local authorities to join the project. By actively participating, organizations can benefit from real-time news validation, access to a secure information flow, and state-of-the-art technologies used to combat disinformation.
