The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) and the Romanian Association for Smart City (ARSC) took a significant step towards Romania's digital future by launching the National Platform for Digital Transformation on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
The director of ICI Bucharest, Adrian Victor Vevera, emphasized the importance of this approach, stating: "The platform represents an essential reference point for communication and collaboration. We want to create an ecosystem where the developed solutions are accessible and applicable, thus contributing to the modernization and efficiency of public and private services in Romania".
Among the main objectives of the Platform are the implementation of advanced solutions for the efficiency of public services and the stimulation of innovation in the private sector, the establishment of a cohesive and secure digital ecosystem that allows effective collaboration between administration institutions and the private sector, as well as increasing the level of digital skills both among citizens, as well as among civil servants, for faster and more efficient adoption of digital technologies.
In recognition of the efforts made in the direction of digital transformation, ICI Bucharest obtained the Smart City award in the technology and innovation category for the ICI Decentralized Services project - the integration of NFT technology in public services, at the SCIA 8 Awards Gala, organized by the Romanian Association for Smart City.
The national platform for digital transformation marks a crucial moment on the road to Romania's digital modernization and innovation, underlining the ongoing commitment of ICI Bucharest and ARSC in promoting an advanced and inclusive digital society.
