ICI Bucharest and Romfilatelia launch new NFT collections

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, in collaboration with Romfilatelia, a strategic partner since the opening of the institutional platform for trading digital assets, announces the launch of new NFT collections on September 4, 2024.

The first collection, Astronomy: Celestial Chronicles, transforms unique astronomical phenomena into digital art based on a new postage stamp issue. The collection invites you to explore the cosmos through a fascinating blend of art, history, and science, creating a portal to a moment in time and celebrating human curiosity and the beauty of the universe.

The "Innovation, Steps Towards the Future" collection brings additional interactive and educational elements provided by AR technology. These features make stamp collecting more interesting and informative, capturing the interest of experienced collectors as well as newcomers.

"We are happy to continue the collaboration with Romfilatelia, the only authority designated by the Romanian Government to issue Romanian postage stamps, which preserves the charm of stamp collecting, embracing digital innovation. Together, we aim to bring the passion of philately to the era of digital natives," said Adrian-Victor Vevera, general director of ICI Bucharest.
