Today, November 1, 2023, during the Radio Romania Gala, which celebrates 95 years of uninterrupted broadcasting, the hosts announced the launch of the "Voice is Essential" NFT collection on the ICI D|Services platform, the first European institutional platform for trading digital assets.
The collection foregrounds the significant impact that the human voice, as a symbol of the human spirit, has had on our society, highlighting moments of power and silence, clarity and ambiguity. Overall, the collection will reflect the essence of the evolution and the human spirit in the context of Radio Romania over its 95 years.
The NFTs are inspired by the radio broadcasts that were aired between 1928 and 1947 by the "pioneers" of radio, such as C. Rădulescu-Motru, Sextil Pușcariu, Mircea Djuvara, Virgil Madgearu, Ion Petrovici, Dimitrie Gusti, Mihai Ralea, Mircea Florian, N. Bagdasar, Mihail Sebastian, Paul Zarifopol, Alice Voinescu and many others, all of whom demonstrated the interest of the Romanian elites of the time in this new media phenomenon.

The ICI D|SERVICES (ICI Decentralized Services) platform was developed by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest and is dedicated to digital assets. It will initially manage NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and operate on decentralized Blockchain and Web3 technologies. This represents the first government initiative to join the ecosystem of innovative applications built on the MultiversX blockchain network.
