Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, met on Monday, 10 August 2026, with Osman Ses, CEO of OBS Technology, to discuss potential projects and areas of cooperation in the field of dual-use technologies.
The discussions focused on identifying projects where ICI Bucharest’s research experience and OBS Technology’s expertise could be brought together in areas relevant to security and defence.
The meeting follows on from the dialogue initiated during DISB – Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest 2026, organised by ICI Bucharest from 10 to 12 March 2026. Osman Ses took part in the event as a speaker, and during the summit, ICI Bucharest and OBS Technology signed a cooperation protocol.

The discussions addressed policies, strategies, and research projects that can support a secure, scalable, and reliable digital transformation in Peru.
Today, 1 September 2026, the implementation of the “Romanian EuroHPC AI Factory at ICI Bucharest” – RO AI Factory project officially begins, under Grant Agreement No. 101314645, funded by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) through the HORIZON-JU-EUROHPC-2025-AI call. The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest plays an important role in implementing the initiative, serving as the Hosting Entity for RO AI Factory.
