ICI Bucharest receives the official visit of a delegation from Nigeria to strengthen collaboration in the field of ICT

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest hosted the visit of an official delegation from Nigeria, a state interested in developing bilateral cooperation in information and communication technology (ICT). This meeting underlined the commitment of both sides to strengthen international partnerships in the IT sector and promote digital innovation.

The visit provided a conducive framework for the exchange of experiences and best practices regarding the digital transformation of public administration, the security of cyber infrastructure and the development of innovative solutions aimed at supporting the digital evolution at the government level.

"We are honoured to welcome this delegation and explore new opportunities for collaboration in the field of ICT. ICI Bucharest has extensive experience and has been the IT cooperation hub for the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa region since 2018, so we are happy to share our expertise, contributing to the development of a strategic partnership with Nigeria", said Adrian -Victor Vevera, general director of ICI Bucharest.

Among the topics discussed during the meeting were solutions for the digitization of public administration, with an emphasis on improving the efficiency and accessibility of public services through technology, cyber security, an area of ​​major interest in the context of global cyber threats, where ICI Bucharest presented solutions for the protection of critical infrastructure, education and training of IT specialists, focused on the development of digital skills necessary to face the challenges of the digital age.

The Nigerian delegation expressed its appreciation for the hospitality of ICI Bucharest and emphasized the interest in continuing long-term collaboration through bilateral partnerships that facilitate the transfer of technology and know-how. This visit is part of a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening international cooperation and promoting innovative solutions in digitization and cyber security.
