Launch of project between ICI Bucharest and the National News Agency Agerpres

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics ICI Bucharest and the National News Agency Agerpres are laying the foundations for a new project in the field of research and technological development.

The research project, initiated by the two institutions, aims to explore how blockchain and crypto assets (NFTs) can become essential tools for distributing news and information in the era of new technologies. The endeavor focuses on facilitating access to information for everyone, especially the digitally immersed, with a central focus on the younger generation.

ICI Bucharest's General Director, Adrian-Victor Vevera, expressed enthusiasm for the pioneering project, stating their commitment to innovation and cutting-edge research.

Claudia Nicolae, Agerpres's General Director, sees the partnership as an extraordinary opportunity to bring state-of-the-art technologies to the media domain, intending to develop new and efficient ways of disseminating news and information, particularly for the young and digitally connected audience.

The research team will include experts in distributed technologies, blockchain, digital media, and communication, bringing diverse skills to address the challenges and opportunities of this innovative project.
