ICI Bucharest had the honour of receiving the visit of His Excellency Mr. Annamammet Annayev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania. The meeting took place today, January 21, 2025, at the headquarters of ICI Bucharest and aimed to intensify collaborative relations between the two countries in the field of research, technological development and digitalization.
During the discussions, topics of common interest were addressed, such as digital transformation, cybersecurity, cyber diplomacy, artificial intelligence and blockchain, as well as the role of these technologies in supporting sustainable economies.
Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, presented the institute's activity, ongoing research projects and ICI's contribution to Romania's digital transformation. He also emphasized the institute's openness to cooperate with international partners in order to implement joint projects that would benefit both countries.
"We are honoured by the interest of the Embassy of Turkmenistan and by His Excellency's desire to strengthen cooperation in the field of research and technology. This visit represents an important step in building a fruitful long-term relationship between the scientific and technological communities of the two countries," said Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest.
The visit concluded with the invitation of H.E. Mr. Annamammet Annayev to the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest, which will take place on 8-11 April 2025, to continue exploring opportunities for future collaboration.

Starting in January 2025, ICI Bucharest marks a significant moment in the European digital transformation, becoming an active partner in the AI Factories initiative, part of the first generation of European Artificial Intelligence (AI) Factories, coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS).
ICI Bucharest announces signing a partnership agreement with Professional Women's Network Romania (PWN Romania), which promotes female leadership. The goal of the collaboration is to advance the involvement of women in leadership positions through access to technology, digital education and innovative initiatives.
