Between November 4–7, 2025, ICI Bucharest participated in the 6th edition of the "Smart Diaspora 2025" conference, held in Cluj-Napoca, an event dedicated to collaboration between researchers from the country and those from the diaspora. Within the workshops organised by Babes-Bolyai University (UBB), ICI Bucharest gave the presentation "From digital assistants to intelligent clinical agents: transforming healthcare with AI and HPC infrastructures", within the session "Artificial intelligence and the digital transformation of society", highlighting how AI agents can support medical acts and optimise the patient's journey.
Also, ICI Bucharest representatives participated in the workshop "Innovation, technology, strategic autonomy and security in research", in the panel dedicated to "Integrity, ethics and security in research", where topics such as intellectual property, research ethics, cybersecurity and the protection of critical research infrastructures were discussed, underlining the importance of precise mechanisms for protecting and capitalising on scientific results. The event, organised by the Ministry of Education - Romania, Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding - UEFISCDI in partnership with the Union of Cluj Universities - Babeș-Bolyai University, Technical University of Cluj Napoca, University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Hațieganu", Cluj-Napoca, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, The National Academy of Music "Gheorghe Dima" Cluj-Napoca, University of Arts and Design - and the Romanian Academy, brought together researchers from the country and the diaspora, strengthening scientific collaboration and promoting the exchange of ideas and best practices.
