The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics—ICI Bucharest participated in RIPE 88, which took place in Krakow, Poland, between May 20 and 24, 2024. This biennial meeting attracted around 600 participants from 59 countries, including ISPs, network operators, and other major industry players.
RIPE 88 fostered a diverse and inclusive environment, providing a platform where participants shared their experiences, discussed the latest developments and exchanged best practices. More than its formal agenda, the event offered numerous networking opportunities.
As a member of the RIPE NCC community—the regional internet registry for Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Central Asia—ICI Bucharest has actively contributed to discussions shaping the future of the internet and interacted with industry professionals.
ICI Bucharest participated in the tenth edition of the "Workplace of the Future 2026" conference, organized on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, by The Diplomat Bucharest. The event brought to the fore the changes that will influence the organisation of activities in companies and institutions in the coming years, from the use of artificial intelligence in work processes to new forms of collaboration and flexible office spaces.
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest is present at Moldova Digital Summit 2026, an event taking place between June 5–6, 2026, in Chisinau. The institute’s delegation is led by Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, and its participation continues the institute's dialogue with institutional and academic partners across the Prut on digitalisation, research, and innovation.
