Having Informatics and Automatics as main branches, as well as complementary ones, the Romanian Journal of Informatics and Automatics is a scientific journal with open access and, in its pages, it publishes primary articles, protected by the copyright law.

The journal aims at supporting the authors to express themselves (scientific researchers, specialists in the field, high education teachers and students) in carrying out the bachelor's, master and doctoral studies, informing the IT and automation specialists (both from ICI, and from outside the Institute) on the novelties and projects that are the subject of their activity, as well as the opportunities for accessing European and governmental research funds.

In the Romanian Informatics and Automatics Journal, one can find useful information, case studies, product presentation, examples of good practice, events and solutions that can be implemented in the fields of business, health, administration, industry, environmental protection, alternative energies, information, information technology, education, culture, education based on the idea that an informed decision is a right decision.

The journal is indexed in the following national and international databases: Emerging Sources Citation Index, EBSCO, Index Copernicus Journal Master List, EastView, J-Gate, DOAJ, ROAD, Cabell's Directories.

The Romanian Informatics and Automatics Journal (RRIA) is published on both traditional and on-line support by ICI Bucharest. The abstracts, text and figures of the RRIA online articles are identical to those in the printed version of the journal.

The journal does not charge processing or deposit fees for the written items.
