Studies in Informatics and Control - SIC is an international quarterly scientific publication, edited by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest under the auspices of the Romanian Academy. The first printed edition appeared in 1992 and until now the journal has been published without interruption, being the first periodical scientific publication in Romania that has an electronic version since 1993.
Academician Florin Gheorghe FILIP, PhD in Automation, is the founder and editor-in-chief of the journal, while Georgiana - Cristina PEREȚEANU is the editor-in-charge. The editorial board includes leading university professors and IT specialists with international reputation in the country and abroad.
The publication fits in the structural field of Information and Communication Technology, addressing scientific research and technological development, mostly optimization and automation. The journal is mainly addressed to scientific researchers and teachers in higher education, both in the country and abroad.
